Hi everyone hope you are all having a good day. I think I better put here a trigger warning as I'm not sure if this could be triggering to some.
I was just wondering if you could share with me what's it like to have hallucinations. I don't know if iam having them or not. Just lately I've been having what I can only describe as dreams but I'm awake. For example I was sitting down watching tv when suddenly I found myself reading the newspaper and I even turned the pages with my hands when there wasn't a newspaper at all and I started talking to my hubby about what I was reading but he was confused what I was talking about. It seemed so real but than I realised that this was all in my head and I was so embarrassed And that is not my only experience I have had conversations with my hubby and my daughter that never happened it's so embarrassing to be talking to them and responding to them when they have no idea what I'm talking about.
anyway hopefully this all makes sense. So I'm wondering is it hallucinations or just my mind playing tricks on me?

It sounds like these experiences have been really confusing and disconcerting. I'd be really interesting to hear what other people's experiences of hallucinations are and if you can relate to those experiences.
Is this something that you've experienced before?

Hi
Immersive experiences like you describe are more commonly neurological
Mental Illness visuals are generally more limited... Shadow people etc
It could relate to dissociative disorders. I don't know the specifics of your case
