Re: not coping

@tyme above post

Re: not coping

That sounds great @outlander ! Phew! What a relief! I hope it takes some of the pressure off you. You absolutely deserve this reprieve. Congrats, once again.

Re: not coping

i hope so too @tyme hopefully next year i can commit even more to these new companies and work longer or more hours and be able to accept more clients on board

Re: not coping

It's so good to keep busy. Honestly speaking, work was what kept me well when I was in the darkest moment. Work made me get up. It gave me responsibility. It gave me independence in that I earnt money @outlander

I sense it is similar for you.

Re: not coping

being busy has been good for me in a way @tyme but its been a deflecting mechanism. i cant be still, i am constantly running from my demons. i literally am so uncomfortable being still that i cant be still unless im sick then i can be still sort of. its something im working on but then i go and get 2 new jobs lol. but even my psych saw this change as a positive even though it means more work. think this ones a positive change.

im tiring abit though. but when i get there im ok unlike my other workplace where my faigue just gets worse and worse and i barely function midway through a shift.

i also got a new medical diagnosis which does explain alot but its another lifelong again

Re: not coping

You are such a battler @outlander .

I found it hard to sit with my own thoughts too. Keeping busy is good. But I needs to be something you find rewarding. I'm glad you are moving on.

Tomorrow is a public holiday in Melb. I'm going to go and clean my other house. It's been sitting vacant for years now, and I met someone who really needs a place. So I'm going to clean it so this person can move in. I told him it's for a trial period to see if it works for him. He's had a really difficult life with drugs and all and just wants to get clean. I know it sounds risky, but something is telling me to give him the house.

Re: not coping

i hope so i really hope its the best decision @tyme

our public holiday is on monday and ill be working. yay lol.

i hope the person needing a house is a right fit. it sounds like a nice thing your doing

Re: not coping

I said it's only for a trial to see if he's okay living on his own @outlander . I think he was a good kid that just got caught in the wrong crowd.

Re: not coping

Sometimes a person just needs the right opportunity to get on the better path @tyme

Why has that house been vacant instead of selling or leasing it out?

Re: not coping

I didn't want the house wrecked. Then with all the 'renter's rights', I didn't want to put it for rent. So it's been empty for about 5 years. People keep telling me to rent it out, but I didn't want to @outlander
