Re: I can’t cope

Hey @tyme @Jynx.

My shift went well! I managed to stay awake even though I was parked up and doing absolutely nothing from 2-5am

I made a new, old friend. A new girl has started and she was an old friend from about 10 years ago. I’m so excited that I needed to tell someone. My bestie wants to add new friends to our circle and this girl and I want to surprise her! So I can’t tell her yet. She is going to be excited too. We chatted non stop for 30 minutes before our shift started. It was so good.

Right at this very moment I feel good. I’m about to head off to bed but I needed to put this somewhere!!!

I just realised the pharmacy gave me the wrong meds. One of my sleep meds are supposed to be instant release (it’s double of my slow release) but they gave me slow release no wonder I’ve had trouble going to sleep and wake up tired! I had double slow release meds! When I see my GP next week I’ll get the right ones!

Re: I can’t cope

Heya @Captain24 ,

Good on you! Sounded like a good start.

Are you saying that this new girl starting at your work is an old friend of yours?

Have you lived in the area for a long time now?

Sorry to hear about the med mix up... that's so annoying. I remember once, I got my webster pack and they had sealed it without putting the meds in lol. Anyway, hope it gets sorted soon.

When's your next shift?

See you around!

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @Captain24

Been reading along. Glad some things are going ok. Sending lots of 💗

Re: I can’t cope

EEEEE @Captain24 that is AMAZING! So happy for you darlin, sounds like it's been really nice to connect with this old friend! When are you next seeing each other? And I bet your bestie will love the surprise!!

Aww thanks for sharing! And yeah that's a big yikes with your meds, glad you figured it out so you can get back on sleepy track!

Hope your arvo is going smoothly! Catch you in PGC perhaps? 😁

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah. She is an old friend @tyme. We just lost contact many years ago. So it was nice to catch up.

I have lived here all my life apart from 5 years that I lived on the coast.

Im just getting ready for work now. I’m hoping when I see my GP he will write out the scripts the right way and I’ll have to make sure I follow up correctly.

Hope all is going well @Snowie

Re: I can’t cope

Have a good shift @Captain24 .

I'm glad you enjoyed meeting up with your friend. I wonder if catching up with people can be scheduled into your safety/wellness plan?

Knowing you, you will push yourself and be accountable for it.

Please look after yourself and I'll talk to you whenever you are free.

Re: I can’t cope

aww just read about your new (old) friend!! so glad you were able to reconnect with her @Captain24 !! and yay for surviving that night shift too!! 😊

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @rav3n

It was so good to see her. She looks so good.

I got through last nights shift really well too. I did just sit around for 10.5 hours. Don’t was a long night.

Im really tired today though. I have slept but I still feel really tired and drained. Being so tired makes things really bad

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @Captain24  glad to read you got through your night shift ok. Do you work again tonight?

was thinking we should organise another Lego build together

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @Bow

Im finished work now until Wednesday. So thats good. I have so much booked for Monday and Tuesday though. It’ll be busy. Plus the following Tuesday I have 3 appointments. All this is costing so much plus I have dad’s birthday and my brother’s birthday. I’m also $1000 less in my pay due to having to stay longer.

Anyway… you didn’t need to hear all that!

How are things going with you?
